Mom and her work negotiations by sarah01bryant on 04-02-2017
“unspoken pressure" is especially hard to resist, because instead of standing up to a friend, you're standing up to how you feel inside.” This statement from the unit three health textbook on page 7 perfectly explains how my mom sometimes feels that she can stay up an hour later and get some more work done on a project, when she needs to refuse the pressure of work and go to bed.
You know what, I think I'm gonna call it a night and see if I can negotiate some of this work to my teammates tomorrow morning
Negotiation is a way that my mom can share some of the work on a project with her teammates so that she can stay healthy by getting more sleep at night. “However, the principles of fairness, seeking mutual benefit and maintaining a relationship are the keys to a successful outcome" (Unit 3, page 7) using this idea she can get the project done on time and her teammates won't feel overwhelmed by having more work to do.
Hi Joe would you be willing to help me make a PowerPoint for the washing hands project?
Sure! What day would you like to meet about it? Also how soon do you need it?
“From the agreement, a course of action has to be implemented to carry through the decision." (Unit 3 page 9) The two questions that Joe asks is what insures that the work gets done.
How about we meet on Friday the 7th? And then it needs to be done by the 13th at the latest. Thank you so much Joe!!
You're welcome!
