How to form Covalent Bonds by Laheera on 10-16-2014
Do you know how to form Covalent Bonds?
I wish I did but I have been using your classroom as a dining room.
Wow, you must have retained some knowledge of what i taught. Think hard.
I remember some stuff. Covalent bonds are formed when two atoms share a pair of valence electrons. The attraction between the shared electrons and protons in each nucleus hold the atoms together in a covalent bond.
That is correct. When naming covalent bonds the second element has suffixes depending on how many atoms is in the element. What are these suffixes?
These suffixes are mono, di, tri, tetra, penta, hexa, hepta, octa, nona, and deca.
