Jennifer Jones is a teacher at the Garfield School in Revere, MA. She knows a lot of things and helps students who struggle trying to find answers. During one of her classes, Mrs. Jones found one of her students having trouble. |
| Is everything OK Mr. Williams? | |
| Um, I'm having a hard time understanding this math lesson on multiplying exponents. | |

Mrs. Jones takes a look at Mr. Williams work and tries to find where he has been struggling. Mrs. Jones found his mistake right away and informs him on how it shoul be fixed. |
| Hmm, let me take a look. It seems you are doing the opposite of what I taught. When you multiply exponents you add them, you do not subtract them. You subract them in division. | |

Mrs. Jones makes sure Mr. Williams understands the material and Mr. Williams is pleased by Mrs. Jones knowledge that he now fully understands the material. |
| Does that help Mr. Williams? | |
| Oh, yes! Thank you very much! | |
