Part 2 by hgepong on 04-02-2009
Hmmm... Greek ruins, and Nico said they were soooo smart! And why does the little girl know this and not the grown man?
So wha happens in Mitosis?
Well, creepy waiter guy, first of all, the stages of mitosis can be remembered easly by the phonetic P.M.A.T.
Hmmm more Greece, I think I just might vomit!
What happens during P.M.A.T.?
Well, in Prophase the cell's DNA wraps itslef very tightly into what we call chromosomes. At this time the nuclear membrane breaks down ans spindle fibers form at the poles of the cell. In Metaphase all the chromosomes line up at the metphase plate or the empty plane in th middle of the cell and attach to the spindle fibers.
Oooh. Paris! Hey, wait why is the guy who's been getting told this stuff teaching now?
What happens in the A.T. parts of P.M.A.T.?
Well in the Anaphase the two sister chromatids which the centriloes are connected to (the things that created the spindle fibers) begin to seperate tearing the cell in two and each taking an identical amount of the chromosomes with them, this rips the the cell in two and you can now see individual daughter cells forming. In he final phase of Mitosis - Telophase - the cell cordones off the chromoomes and they unravel into DNA within the new nuclear membrane.
