| In the case of BLM, there is already widespread recognition of the problem. Those who are not already convinced of the racial injustice that is police brutality are unlikely to change their minds from conversations like this one. Instead, we must put some focus on shifting those who use the phrase “All Lives Matter” as a replacement for “Black Live Matter”. | |

| It is possible that many of those people have good intentions in using that phrase and do not understand the negative implications of replacing “black” with “all”. Ultimately, if a majority of the “All Lives Matter” movement truly is made up of people with good intentions, having open conversations about the effects of using that phrase may shift their opinions on the BLM movement. | |
