Mamå, nosotros somos migrantes. by almaramos on 03-12-2020
Two modern day students speaking about the farmworkers living conditions.
It is unfortunate that the farmworkers children had to miss so much of school to do backbreaking jobs. All they wanted was to be part of their communities without having to lie and be embarrassed of what they did during the summer.
Yes it is. These children were even treated as adults within the workplace. There was no safety measures for adults or children. Worse of all, these jobs would not even provide enough money to live off of.

Even if the migrant farmworkers were the ones providing the rest of the country with food, they were not allowed anywhere and were looked down on by others.
I believe that places like restaurants and stores should have showed some appreciation for all of these farmworkers for their hard work.
Two modern day students speaking about the farmworkers living conditions.
It is unfair that nowadays, farmworkers still have to fight for fair wages and good living conditions. The absence of these things pushes families to have their children work the same jobs as they are to maintain the family fed and alive.
That's true. This causes a cycle in families. Most chidren are not able to attend school and become farmworkors just like their parents. This means that families never escape the life in poverty. Although farmworkers have had some victories throughout the years, there is still some work that has to be done.
