tips continued
Students, and people in general, should only accept friend request and follow request from people they know, or have other friends who know them. This helps them not run into someone who may be trying to take advantage of them.
Oh i see. Just because social media and the web can be used for connecting people, does not mean you have to connect with everyone.

That is right Chad. A basic tip, that applies to almost everything, is is you feel unsure or uncomfortable about something, there is probably a reason for it. The best thing to do is to move on from that site. There is no shame for doing so.
That makes a lot of sense Scarlet. Why continue on a site that makes you feel uncomfortable.
THE BELL IS ABOUT TO RING
Exactly! One last tip before our classes start, if something goes wrong with the computer or an ad that is unfamiliar pops up, do the a "stop, drop, and roll". And no I am not talking about a fire haha. Tell your students to stop their action, leave the computer, and go get their parent or if at school an instructor. These things can ensure being on the web is fun and SAFE!!
Stop, drop, and roll haha, I will remember that one! Thank you so much for your help Scarlet! I feel much better, and safer, about using technology in my classroom and showing my students how to protect themselves on the web and social media. We better go we got 4 minutes till the bell!
