Rockefeller and Carnegie Superhero or Villan? by coxadara on 10-28-2015
John D. Rockefeller and Andrew Carnegie were both one the most successful industrialists of their time. Oil and Steel were the top manufacturing companies in the 19th century
I Discovered the first Oil Company!
I created the Steel Industry!
Rockefeller was the first to see the importance of oil and how it would benefit America. He invested a large portion of his own savings into petroleum. Rockefeller gained so much control that he was able to fix the prices to his liking and rid competitors.
Oil will benefit America and I'm going to make sure of it.
Carnegie started out working with railroads and with that he noticed steel played a big part of building railroads. He fopunded his first steel company in Pittsburg and became successful making a vast amount of it and selling it for railroads, steam locomotives, bridges, and manufacturing machines.
Steel is the strongest, most durable material of the 19th century and I will succeed in letting it be known.
