Newton's 1st Law
36
Ms. Thomas? How is Newton's First Law presemt when a rocket flies up.
19
Lets see. Newton's First Law states that an object in motion stays in motion and an object at rest stays at rest unless a force is acted upon it. So the rocket is at rest but when a force, gasoline, acts on it it moves upward.

Newton's 2nd Law
36
How about the the 2nd law? Where the relationship between an object's mass, acceleration, and force is F=ma.
19
In this scenario, you use the rocket's mass and acceleration to calculate the applied force produced by the rocket.

Newton's 3rd Law
36
One more question Ms. Thomas. How is the 3rd law present on the rocket as it flies up?
19
Newton's 3rd law states that foe every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Therefore, the force that pushes the rocket upward, has an equal force pulling it to the center of the Earth.
