Making sense of Quadratic Equations by gbasile on 03-18-2015
When the heck will I ever use this?
When will I ever use Quadratic Equations? They seem useless!
Don't you want to go into NASA and become an astronaut once you retire?
Still don't understand
Yes but, I still don't get when we will use this information. And how will it help me at NASA?
Well, space ships and rockets take of and land in a U-shaped curve, which is the graph of a parabola. This is created by graphing quadratic functions.
Ah ha
Oh, so the space shuttles take off, orbit Earth and lands in the shape of a quadratic equation?! That is so cool!
Yes sir! And now you are ready for your next job! Best of luck at NASA!
