So this guy, Andrew Carnegie? Yeah, him, he'll go down in history as one of the most successful industrialists
How? Just because he created the Horizontal Integration, Vertical Combination, & reduced the cost of steel does not make him the best.
Uh, so you're saying John Rockefeller is the best? Which of his achievements, if he has any, turned out to be successful that impacted people?
Come on, he reshaped the oil industry, converted crude oil into kerosene, and gave away more than half of his fortune. You're going to oppose those achievements and say they don't mean anything?
People were already figuring out a way to consume kerosene Ioil before Rockefeller was around. He's not the first industrialist to give away half of his fortune. He reshaped the oil industry? He barely even took part in that, Carnegie actually did something with steel. He was born into a poor family and worked his way to become rich. Though, he never intended on becoming rich, from his successful and impacting works, he became wealthy. Rockefeller was born into wealth and seeked more.
He didn't seek more wealth, it just so happened that his works were good enough to receive more wealth. Look, we can sit
