Hydrogen Bonds by aschulte44 on 10-23-2014
Certis was just enjoying the sight of the huge wave that was about to crash into the shore when all the sudden a mystical figure appeared to him...
Boo! Did you know that whenever you see water, whether it is a small droplet or a large body of it, the tiny water molecules are being held together by something known as a hydrogen bond?
No, Mr. Ghost, I have never heard of those. Would you mind telling me some more about them?
Sure! When two molecules contain both a very positive and a very negative region, the attraction between the positive region of one and the negative region of the other form a hydrogen bond. These are most commonly found in water when millions of hydrogen bonds are formed between many molecules.
Wow! I did not know that, but know I most certainly do. I am going to tell everyone about hydrogen bonds now!
Certis went on in life to become a world-class scientist after learning about hydrogen bonds from a ghost...
That is great that you are going to spread the word, but don't forget that hydrogen bonds are between molecules, not atoms.
Okay I will not! Thank you, Mr. Ghost!
