Interviewing Congressman Murtha |
| Congressman Murtha, you have come under heavy criticism for what your critics call your "cut and run" plan for Iraq. What say you? | |
| Idiots! This is a Republican tactic. I have never advocated "cut and run". No mam. I have advocated redeployment. This is all together different from "cut and run". | |
The questioner presses on. |
| How is it different, Congressman? | |
| Under redeployment, you cut your troop levels, run them over to a nereby country, where they remain until you once again need them in Iraq. It's redeployment. Pure and simple. Not "cut and run" don't you understand? | |
The questioner is incredulous. |
| No, I don't understand. Redeployment sounds like "cut and run". In fact, you used those words in your explanation. | |
| I did not! I specfically said redeployment. That's the problem with you media types. You hear what you want to hear. There's no "cut and run" in John Murtha. I'm a war hero. Were you ever in the military? I bet not. So what do you know. You all must be listening to too much talk radio. This interview is over. | |
