Scene Setter: Meeting #7, by Natalie Webb by 324nataliewebb on 03-06-2014
Mr.Milgrom lets Misha (the monkey) celebrate Hanukah with them and Misha learns what happiness is.
This year you will celebrate Hanukah with us, and will be happy all eight days even if we have no reason to be happy in this horrible place.
Yay! Now that Mrs.Milgrom is gone I can celebrate Hanukah with my family! But there is one problem, I don't know what happiness is….
Misha bumps into Uri who tells him to get out of the ghetto and never come back before the trains come to take him and the boys away. Misha doesn't really understands but tells the boys and his family, but they weren't really worried either, till the old man came and told them what really happened there and how the nazis were planning to kill them there.
You have to get out of the ghetto and never look back and keep on running and hiding. The trains are coming to take the jews away and you do not want to know where you are going and you are not going to like it. Only tell the boys. Got it!?
Yes, not really. I will tell the boys and my family. But I am not entirely sure the trains will actually come, and maybe I will like the place it is taking me…
Tata knows that what the old man said was true and wanted to protect Misha and Janina from death. But Janina wouldn't leave him behind, and they kept coming back when they went through the wall but then they had to leave when they couldn't go back through the walls.
Yay the trains are here. I know exactly where they are going to take us! To the candy mountain!
The train isn't taking us to candy mountain. It's taking us to our deaths. Tata wants us to leave the ghetto and never come back so we don't have to die.
