Industrial Revolution Special with Ron Burgundy
Okay.....and...ACTION!
What was the Industrial Revolution? Who was Eli Whitney what do they have to do with each other? During this show I will answer these questions and more.
Industrial Revolution Special with Ron Burgundy
The Industrial revolution started was a period in time in which power driven machines replaced hand tools. It started in Europe then made its way to the United States where it took off. A man by the name of Eli Whitney was one of the main contributers to the start of the Industrial Revolution with his machine the Cotton Gin which helped jump start a time of great economic boom for America but also brought a rebirth to slavery.

With the cotton gin came many more ideas and changes. Since the cotton gin was being produced by the numbers the idea of mass production came about, and since the machines had to be built exactly the same, the idea of interchangeable parts also happened because of that. So if a machine lost a piece of broke a piece you could replace it since they were all built the same. There you have it folks. This is Ron Burgundy saying stay classy Winder.
