Erin and her boss, Mathew, are discussing what language means to them.
Language is defined as the method of human communication, either spoken or written, consisting of the use of words in a structured and conventional way.
Yes, but there must be more to it than that.
Mathew goes on to explain to Erin that there are certain properties critical to language.
First it has to be comunicative.
