VSEPR theory and bonding by aly14 on 03-31-2011
The linear molecular structure is basically exactly what it's name states...a line.
so red spheres represent atoms and gray ovals represent bonds, right?
Correct!!... Another type of molecular structure, is the trigonal planar.
so, like the linear molecular structure..is the trigonal planar structure also represented by red spheres and gray ovals..in a triangular form??
The last type of molecular structure is called tetrahedral. What types of shapes do you think tetrahedrals is represented by ??
well tetra means four so it has to have four bonds,so tetrahedral, trigonal pyrimidal, and bent.
