Mercury and Venus by dkelly_157 on 02-07-2011
The surface temperatures of Mercury range from about 90 to 700 K (-183 *C to 427 *C). Also the surface of Mercury has been hit my meteors and comets so it has a surface similar to that of the moon.
Well Mercury is also the densest planet in our solar system next to Earth. The smaller mass on Mercury makes the force of gravity only about one third of Earths.
The atmsphere of Venus is about 872 *F. The surface also has thick opaque clouds of Sulfuric Acid, making us unable to see the surface of Venus.
Venus also has an interior of lava and a hot dense core similar to Earth. it is called the sister planet to Earth because it has the same pressure and gravity as Earth.
if Venus and the Earth were to evolve under similar conditions the differances that would exist today would be that Venus is obtained by a large cloud of Sulfiric acid.
Today astronauts are unable to visit Mercury and Venus due to the extreme temperature differances from here on Earth. Human beings cannot take that kind of temperature exposure.
