Bohr's Theory by shaunyboy94 on 09-15-2009
After a lot of hard work together...
!
What? What is it?!
Bohr explains his theory.
I have realized that perhaps the electrons move around the nucleus in specific orbits, kind of like planets around the sun. These orbits could probably only hold a certain amount of electrons each.
Ok... Continue...
Bohr continues to explain.
When an atom gains energy, an electron jumps up to a higher orbit. When the atom loses energy, the electron jumps down to its original orbit. This energy is given off as radiation.
Oh, so the behavior of a certain matter could be depicted by how many electrons were in the orbits?
