Cell Cycle:In simple terms (even for smarty pants) by nananeko on 02-12-2009
Hey Joe, How come we have to learn about the cell cycle? Can’t we just know that it duplicates and move on?
Hey bob, don’t you know about the cycle? Its not that hard.
Well if you think it is easy can you tutor me?
Yeah sure! Ok to begin. The first phase is Interphase. In this phase there are three smaller phases:G1 phase, S phase, G2 phase.
G1 is when the cell grows up and develops like you and me. After the growth is done, it has a checkpoint that makes sure the cell is big enough.
Ok, then comes the S phase, right? That duplicates the DNA.
