Contraception 2 by ebraun on 01-21-2009
Is there a particular form of birth control that you would recommend for me?
Well, it depends on what you prefer and your lifestyle. A condom offers protection from pregnancy and STDs. They are not very expensive and come in many different forms. However, they do expire, can break, and can only be used once. You can also use the pill. These are very effective at preventing pregnancy if you use them correctly, but do not protect against STDs. Another form of hormonal contraception is the patch. You stick it on part of your body and it goes through your skin to prevent pregnancy. These don’t prevent STDs though, either. There are many other forms; these are just a few examples.
Do you know where I can find these?
Of Course. First the Broadway Medical clinical is located at 4212 NE Broadway St. Portland, Or 97213. You can call them at 503-219-3217. If you have any questions or want to set up an appointment, they can be reached at that number. Another place here in Portland is Providence Portland Medical Center. You can find them at 4805 NW Gleason St. And can call them at 503-218-1111. Both of these places can provide you with educated professionals and information about which form of contraception is right for you
Wow, That’s a lot to think about! Maybe my boyfriend and I should think about having sex since hearing about all these risks! I think we will wait. Thanks for your help Mr. Anderson.
Anytime, Suzie! I’m always glad to help. Let me know if you have any other questions. Good luck!
