I am a protector of freedom in Iraq.

All my friends are dead, and I'll probably never see my family again. All of the indigenous peoples here want me dead. I haven't seen a beautiful woman in 5 years. I haven't had a good meal in just as long. I haven't slept a wink for 4 days. I'm probably developing some disease as we speak.

But hey, stay the course, right?
