John Ray, the Super Genius by Dhea on 09-24-2007
One day in Paris, Jack and John Ray were talking about the transport of lymph.
It says here that the movement of lymph is dependent upon outside forces.
Duhh...I already know that. God, this guy's dumb.
These forces are the contractions of skeletal muscles and respiratory movements.
Yup, they're the same forces that aid the return of venous blood to the heart.
The contraction of skeletal muscles comperesses the lymphatic vessels forcing lymph from one valved segment to another. This is especially important in the arms and lungs.
Respiratory movements enable the movement of lymph in vessels within the thorax and abdomen.
