Statue of Liberty by Jitterbug256 on 12-06-2006
Do you know what the Statue of Liberty is made of?
Green Iron, right?
No, basic copper(II) carbonate.
How did they make that?
Copper was exposed to moist air which formed a pale green coating of basic copper(II) carbonate, the coating is called a patina.
Wow...all that for a lady in a dress.
