There Is a Time For Every Purpose ... by letternumunderscore on 11-14-2006
Check out my new atomic watch. It gets a radio signal from the NIST's atomic clock which bases its time on the vibrations of the cesium atom, , a clock that is accurate to within one second in a million years.
The built-in receiver tunes in to a radio signal transmitted at 60 kHz at the speed of light which synchronizes my watch, adjusting to the transition between the two hyper fine levels of the grounds state of the cesium-133 atom.
How often do you get the signal?
It automatically tunes in to sync every day at 1:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
My watch stopped.... it's right twice a day too.
