The show consists of three one-act plays, the first a comedy of mistaken identity, |

and the second a tragedy about an impoverished young violet-seller. |

The third act, however, is a historical epic entitled "The Great Old Ones Come", which recounts the emergence of the Old Ones from the sea and their conquest of the world. The show ends with the entire audience cheering as a paper moon turns from yellow (as it was in the past) to crimson (as the narrator remarks it is currently.) |
