The two are escorted into the Queen's chamber, a large, dark room where the Queen, a large, hulking figure, squats in a corner. She beckons them forward with a squirming limb and relieves the narrator's pain, filling him with a sense of well-being. She then communicates with the detective, who tells her the details of the case. |
