Using the correct past simple tense for irregular verbs by amenke on 06-28-2022
Learner forgot to use correct verb tense on multiple irregular verbs. The teacher provides recasts for both errors.
I goed to the park, and I falled down and scraped my knee!
You WENT to the park, and you FELL down, and scraped your knee!
Learner corrects the first error, but not the second error. The teacher uses repetition to correct the second error.
I WENT to the park, I falled down, and scraped my knee!
You went to the park, and you falled down. You falled… [teacher gives questioning look]
Learner catches onto the teacher's questioning look and corrects output. The conversation then continues.
Oh! I went to the park, and I FELL down and scraped my knee!
Oh no! I hope it feels better now.
