Based on the results of the analysis of atmospheric dynamics, there is a cyclonic circulation forming a meeting area or slowing wind speed (convergence) that extends from the southern coast of Central Java, East Java, Central Sulawesi, Maluku and Papua. This condition is able to increase the potential for rain cloud growth around the cyclonic circulation area and along the convergence area. Relatively high humidity also contributes to the formation of rain clouds in some parts of Indonesia. Strong local lability also supports convective processes at a local scale in Central Java. from that factor, continuous rain often occurs in Semarang. | |

| the impact on the community can be different, such as people living in low-lying areas/close to the sea will experience tidal waves or flooding while those in highlands with soft soil will experience landslides. | |

| we can do some mitigations for floods and landslides. Flood mitigations are making strong embankments, making good drainage channels, doing reforestation in flood-prone areas. For mitigations of landslides, we can make terraces with proper drainage systems, do reforestation with deep rooted plants and cover cracks on the slopes to prevent water from entering quickly. And the most importantly the government must have prepared an evacuation place for people whose homes have been affected by the disaster. | |
