| Oliver accopanies Mr. Sowberry to a burial. The boys stat to plat around and Mr. Sowberry beats some of them. |

| After having spent time there, Oliver quicky learns the way to do things corerectly. The other apprentice becomes jelous of how fast he is learning and insults his dead mother. Oliver then attacks him causing Mr. Sowberry to become angry and lock him up. |

| “Poor fellow!” “What’s to be done!” “Your master’s not at home; there’s not a man in the house, and he’ll kick that door down in ten minutes.” | |

| The other apprentice (Noah) rushes to Mr. Bumble and shows him his wounds. Mr. Bumble is convinced that Oliver is a bad guy. Oliver ends up running away. |
