At a different time and place...Mr. Cruncher looked their way and could see some kind of funeral moving along. He could tell that people were angry about it. He grew excited when there were funerals nearby, so he decided to ask the crowd that was cheering.
What’s happening, my friend? What’s it all about? Who is it for?
He was an old Bailey spy, Yaha! Tst! Yah! Old Bailey Spi—i—ies!
Back home, Mr. Cruncher is angry at his wife, as he thinks that her prayers have made his business go bad.
If, as an honest businessman, my plans go wrong tonight in my "fishing", I’ll know that you have been praying against me and I’ll punish you for it just the same as if I’d seen you do it.
I haven't done anything Jerry, I am a good wife and mother, praying for a good life.
It is night time, Mr. Cruncher leaves to dig up the body of the spy named Roger Cly, his secret job being to sell bodies to scientists. Unbeknownst to him, his son is following him.
