well the first thing I should mention is that the trade route was called triangle trade. we've already covered the first side which was the export of goods from Europe to Africa.
ok so where did they go after that?
the slaves traded in Africa where boarded onto a ship and shackled in tight spaces on the lowest deck and most couldn't move at all the whole trip. many people died during this part. the journey from africa to America was called the middle passage and was the most dreaded part of the trade route.
how long did the middle passage last?
the middle passage became more efficient over the centuries; while an average transatlantic journey of the early 16th century lasted several months, by the 19th century the crossing often required fewer than six weeks.
so if the middle passage ended in the americas the last part was The third, and final, stage of the Triangular Trade was the return to Europe with the produce from the slave-labor plantations: cotton, sugar, tobacco, molasses and rum!
