Did you read newspaper comics as a kid?

I did. Some Peanuts, Beetle Bailey. Definitely liked Garfield - had books full of those.

Why did you like them so much?

I don't know. The whimsy. The layers of irony on top of affection. The idea of taking the occasional nap.

Hmmmmm. Sounds familiar.

I have a sudden hankering for lasagna.
