belligerent cajole
The "belligerent" Greeks decided to take on the mighty Persian Empire.
Why did they go against the huge Persian empire? I would "cajole" them than fight.
bolster boisterous
They there very determined not to lose their freedom. And the other close Greek colonies "bolstered" the Greeks in the shore, the first colony to be attacked.
How did they managed to work together? Weren't they "boisterous" and fought a lot?
cacophony
They indeed was loud and they create a "cacophony" when they met. But they wanted to protect their land so they worked together.
And they actually fought off the Persians. That's really cool.
