Wudi vs. Liu Bang Comic Strip by ajsouthern on 03-06-2018
: Meeting for First Time
Hi my name is Wudi, I was born in 156 BC, my dynasty began when I was seven, when my relatives secured his position in the throne. I was sixteen when I was made emperor. It was unusual for someone like me, who was not the oldest son of the king, to become emperor.
Hello my name is Liu Bang, I was born in 248 BC to a peasant family in China. My father was a farmer, and I worked as a police officer during the Qin dynasty. After the death of Emperor of Shi Huangdi, a warlord named Hsiang Yu attempted to seize control of China. Liu Bang opposed Hsiang Yu´s plans.
Discussing Politics & Religion
My reign as emperor was in the Han dynasty around 141 BC. I rolled over the influence of my relatives and political officials. I launched an attack on the people on China’s northern border who were threatening the empire. From then on, I focused on my reign on expanding the empire. During my time of being emperor many parts of Asia came under my control. My massive army conquered Southern China, and most of Vietnam and Korea. More battles provided me with control of Furgana, known as Uzbekistan, and many small states in between.
I was first king from 206 to 202 BC, and then emperor from 202 to 195 BC. I eliminated many harsh laws and reduced taxes on the peasants. I am also known for my skills in foreign affairs. Using a combination of diplomacy and military force, I made peace with tribes that were trying to invade China from Mongolia. Also, my rule was the beginning of the Han dynasty.
: Arguing Who Was More Successful
All of my wars had cost lots of money. I added new taxes and saw that the government controlled the trade of salt, wine, and iron in order to raise money. At the end of my life, I suffered the dislike of the public as well personal tragedy. My fifteen year old son, who became heir, was accused of witchcraft. My son led an unsipring is which many people were killed and himself committed suicide. Before his death, I appointed my eight year old son as heir.
I was known to be a harsh leader, but I did do lots of good things in china. I died in 195 BC. Although the Han dynasty collapsed around 24 AD, it had an influence on the culture and government of China that lasted well into the twentieth century.
