21st Century Teacher by Nicoleta_06 on 09-11-2017
You're a 21st Century Teacher
Hi Mary. I found an article "You're a 21st Century Teacher" with many signs about it.
Oh, yes. I read the same article some days ago Anny.
Anny's opinion
I was very interesting in this article and for me the most important are: first, you give weekly class updates to parents...via your blog, because you need to have a parentsÂ’ support. Second, your students participate in class...by tweeting their questions and comments, it is a good way to have control over the social networks of your students. Third, you ask your students to study and create reports on a controversial topic, so they will have to investigate and create a debate with their classmates. Fourth, you ask your students to do a character/historical person study...and they create mock social media profiles of their character. In this way, they will use social networks and they will have to investigate. Finally, you share lesson plans with your teacher friends...from around the globe, it is a good idea to have friends around the world and try to be a better teacher in your work.
You are right, because a teacher has to be innovative and he/she has to create a good class for his/her students.
Mary's Opinion
In my case, I liked the signs. 1. You take your students on a field trip to the Great Wall of China...and never leave your classroom. They do not like to be in the classroom, so you have to do something to go to another place. 2. Your students share stories of their summer vacation...through an online photo repository. Students like photos and they are so creative, for this reason you can use their personal experiences in classroom. 3. You teach your students not to be bullies...or cyberbullies. The most important in a classroom is the respect; for this reason is very important teach what is bullying and how to avoid it. 4. You require your students to summarize a recent chapter...and submit it to you via a text message. At this moment, you will have the opportunity to give them many interesting books and encourage them to read. 5. You showcase your studentsÂ’ original work...to the world. It is a good way to motivate your students and try to show them the importance to share information with other people.
I also like those, Students need more attention and they can change the education here in the school.
