21st Century World by Carloszx on 09-10-2017
Good afternoon, teacher Carlos. My name is Luisa; I am Journalist. I would like to ask you some questions about a topic you‘ve been highlighting for many years. You have created a beautiful article. It is called *21 signs you’re a 21st century teacher* and you emphasize those signs in terms of technology. Taking into account your article, my first question is; Why did you decide to write this article?
Hello, Miss Luisa, it's a pleasure for me to be here with you. Well…first of all, I considered writing it because I wanted to carry out those signs because we as teachers have the responsibility to teach both teachers and students that technology has positive factors that contribute in professional and common life.
That is good. I mean, it is very interesting what you want to convey for teachers and students with positive purposes based on 21st century technology. Right, my second question is taking into account your article; what are the most relevant signs for you?
I have some important signs that I mentioned in my article. First, you teach your students not to be bullies...or cyberbullies, everybody is learning to link with technological world. It’s not easy but not impossible. Second, you require your students to use a variety of sources for their research projects...and they cite blogs, podcasts, and interviews. Third, your students work on collaborative projects. Fourth, your students participate in class...by tweeting their questions and comments. Fifth, you ask your students to do a character/historical person study...and they create mock social media profiles of their character. Sixth, your students share stories of their summer vacation...through an online photo repository. Seventh, you require your students to summarize a recent chapter...and submit it to you via a text message. Eighth, you ask your students to study and create reports on a controversial topic...and you grade their video submissions. Ninth, you share lesson plans with your teacher friends...from around the globe.
It is very nice… Really, when I read your article, I have noticed that you have wide intentions to change the traditional education which has remained during the 21st century. Finally, what message would you like to convey to people who want to hear your interview? Teacher Carlos, nice meeting you, thank you for coming.
Mainly, based on what I want to say; I would like to mention the last relevant sign. Teachers, “You showcase your students’ original work...to the world.” They deserve their work be valued and recognized around the world. Nice meeting you too. Thank you.
