Say No To Cyberbullying by Bryanna on 03-31-2017
Do you have anything to share about the recent cyberbullying incident?
Our community is concerned about the rise in cyberbullying in our schools. Posts on social media can be distributed to thousands of people and deleting is difficult.
After reading the signs of potential cyberbullying victims such as unwillingness to attend school, poor grades, and low self-esteem, did you notice any similar occurances in your child?
Wow! I wish I had known this sooner and paid more attention to my son. I did notice that he was not interested in after school activities like he had been before.
It is important to be aware of your child's online activity. Create rules about internet use and texting. Encourage your children to let you know if they have been bullied. Listen to your kids and be actively involved in their online activity. Make sure to report any threats of violence or other serious offenses to law enforcement. We want to prevent this incident from occuring again.
