Cat and John: Do Simple Present by DanielNieto2004 on 12-14-2016
Whoa, thanks for bringing me here, Cat! You know, I’ve always wanted to come here. I’ve heard it’s a beautiful place.
No problem, any time you want. But you know, here is not all about it beautifulness it’s about it history. It was here where people invented some of the most important structural rules of English. Including tenses, like simple present tense.
What’s simple present tense?
Oh, you didn’t learn that? That’s okay, I will teach you.
Okay
The simple present tense in English is used to describe an action that is regular, true or normal. Like for repeated or regular actions in the present period, facts or generalizations, for things that are always / generally true, scheduled events near the future.
