Whoa, thanks for bringing me here, Cat! You know, Iíve always wanted to come here. Iíve heard itís a beautiful place.
No problem, any time you want. But you know, here is not all about it beautifulness itís about it history. It was here where people invented some of the most important structural rules of English. Including tenses, like simple present tense.
Whatís simple present tense?
Oh, you didnít learn that? Thatís okay, I will teach you.
The simple present tense in English is used to describe an action that is regular, true or normal. Like for repeated or regular actions in the present period, facts or generalizations, for things that are always / generally true, scheduled events near the future.
