The tension was building as they were nearing their 300th comic. Too much pressure to make something great. So what does one do?
Paper
airplanes?
Take the pressure off. Forego impressing and go for not impressing or rather, go simple. The man with the Book tended toward loquaciousness, so why not simple lines? *And throw in a Perry White quote while we're at it.
Scissors
ghost?*
Although upon looking up the Perry White (Clark Kent's editor's) exclamation "Great Caesar's Ghost," it turns out that phrase has an earlier origin and well, there goes what would have been a simple 6 line comic!
