Measure twice, don't cut, cut once by LeeXan on 09-10-2016
So it says here that Sheloshim is the Jewish period of mourning from the 8th to the 30th day. Sheloshim means thirty.
Sheloshim? It kind of sounds like the sound of water in the bottom of your boat as you're bailing water out.
Well, anyway, there are some rules for days 8 through 30--you don't cut your hair or shave. Oh, and get this--you're allowed to go to a circumcision, but you can't attend the festivities afterward.
There are festivities after a circumcision?? Yeah, nothing like a circumcision to stimulate the appetite. But anyway, what happens after the 30 days?
Then you're done mourning, I guess [unless it's your parents, that's a whole 'nother waxy ball]. No....but you've done all you're required to do, I suppose?
Doesn't it sound like an Infomercial, "Denial to Acceptance in 30 Days...or your money back"?
