THE LIFE-SPAN OF FLIES, Episode 21 "Help me, for I am in Hell" by M_Pelfrey on 09-07-2016
I say "my man" and I say "yo" and sometimes I'm like, "dope" or "fly." On occasion I like to stroll into the office and say, "Ain't nothin' shakin' but the bacon." But to me, that's not "talking black" or anything.
Please don't talk about race at the office.
To me, especially stuff like "yo" or "wazzup?" -- that's just become part of the pop culture lexicon or whathaveyou. Once a set of words hits the airwaves, or, you know, a hundred-milliion rap albums sell to mainstream America -- you can't claim that the language is exclusive to one particular community.
If I don't respond, maybe he'll stop talking before someone else hears him. Or thinks I'm part of this convo.
Do you feel me or not? Cause I can't tell...
Someone help me, for I am in Hell.
