Funty Otis wuz a Bear, Part 1, Take 2 by LeeXan on 07-30-2016
This is exactly the same comic as the last one except for the title.
Who wrote "Fuzzy Wuzzy was a Bear"? Do you think they knew when they wrote it, that it'd get THAT popular?
...Who wrote "Sit on a potato pan, Otis"?
The man with the book wanted to keep the first word of the title "Fuzzy"--after all, this 3-panel comic already talks about a kids rhyme and a palindrome, isn't that enough?
We could look 'em up. Okay...ha, okay..."Few today are aware of the nineteenth-century Sudanese origins of this familiar nursery rhyme..." (Wikipedia). Are they pulling our leg??
Hard to say. It IS Wikipedia...
But the man with the drink thinking this version works better, exclaimed, "I don't dumb down my material for anyone" to which the man with the book, who missed the reference to Allen Funt, said he found the "Fuzzy" title more accessible. Decide for yourself.
It goes on..."The first line, "..'was a bear' translates roughly as 'The Hadendoa warriors gave us (British) a great deal of trouble.' " Okaaay...
Am I on candid camera?
